Children’s Discovery Center

The Children’s Discovery Center is a new educational facility at the Los Angeles Zoo. It is approximately 29,000 square feet and includes exhibit, classroom, library, and support spaces. T he Discovery Center is being developed in tandem with a new Main Entry Gate at the ‘front doo r’ to the zoo. The design approach is to make a building that exemplifies the zoo’s 21st century mission of education and community involvement, while at the same time honoring the rich herit age of California’s traditional architecture.
