Date: 00/00/0000 | Location: Los Angeles, California, USA | Area: | Cost:

The Children’s Discovery Center is a new educational facility at the Los Angeles Zoo. It is approximately 29,000 square feet and includes exhibit, classroom, library, and support spaces. The Discovery Center is being developed in tandem with a new Main Entry Gate at the ‘front door’ to the zoo. The design approach is to make a building that exemplifies the zoo’s 21st century mission of education and community involvement, while at the same time honoring the rich heritage of California’s traditional architecture.

Joshua Cohn led the design and programming for this project while at NBBJ.
